‘Mystery Girl’ – Life painting by Tarmi.
When observing the model for this painting I wanted to capture the beautiful lean in the shoulders and the lead down to the curve in the back. I also experimented with layering down washes and blotches of colour as a base and then using oil sticks, inks and fluid acrylics to build up the figure.

The subject matter of my work comes from my interest in the human experience, expression, and the relationship between the artist and the model captured in the moment.
Constant exploring and give over letting go of expectations allowed me to develop my own unique wet-on-wet style. Allowing myself to make mistakes, I take inspiration from the model and follow musical rhythms, letting the energy of the experience bring these expressive paintings to life.
